How much of the Bible do YOU believe in?
Some people seem very ‘certain’ of their theologies. Unfortunately, they do not agree with many others who are also ‘certain’ of their theologies. When Bible-based theologies conflict, something is wrong–not necessarily with the Bible itself, but in how it is viewed or believed.
Most Christian believers have a limited number of scriptures to support their underlying
When a person reconciles (merges) the concepts of two or more Partial-Bible theologies that he has formerly considered to be in conflict, he has increased his understanding of what the whole Bible is telling us. Once a believer makes the transition to a higher level, he becomes a ‘Greater Bible believer.’ But, even then, the individual still does not know everything about the Bible and remains a Partial Bible believer, but with an enhanced understanding of what the Bible is telling us.
If I am right in that opinion, there CAN BE no such thing as a ‘Whole-Bible’ believer. I do believe that honest and thinking Christians CAN and SHOULD strive to become ‘Greater-Bible believers’. I think that every person should study the scriptures and attempt to integrate the concepts that appear to be in conflict. The more scriptures that we can integrate by reconciling their apparent inconsistencies, the greater is our scope of understanding of the Word of God.
I certainly do not know all of the answers and I have probably never met anybody else that really knows it ALL. So, I believe that we are ALL Partial Bible believers to some degree or another. Whenever a Christian says, ‘Oh, I don’t believe that!’ about a particular Biblical passage, he/she is, in effect, admitting to being a Partial Bible Christian.
